I forgot what it was like
to try so hard
and not be noticed...

I forgot what it was like
to be loved
at every moment...

I forgot what it was like
to speak my mind
when my heart would cry...

I forgot what it was like
to sit alone
and not like who I was with...

I forgot what it was like
to lose a little more of myself
knowing there was no getting it back...

I forgot what it was like
to see something so close
and hate how far it was...

I forgot what it was like
to feel pretty
If I ever really believed it...

I have forgetten
and remembering is harder
harder than I remember...
